What you will achieve by the end of this programme:

1. Complete an educational course on youth leadership

Watch educational videos, articles, and complete simple quizzes on kindness, empathy, and becoming a student leader. Complete the online course within 6 weeks by Nov 30, 2020 to receive a certificate endorsed by by #StandTogether, Ministry of Education, Unicef and Digi, as well as co-curricular points.

2. Network with fellow students, celebrity ambassadors and industry leaders

You will be included in an exclusive network of young student leaders all around Malaysia, and have access to attend exclusive Zoom Parties with #StandTogether celebrity ambassadors and industry leaders.

3. Win part of a RM40,000 grant by reimagining a better future

Let’s not let the Covid-19 put a stop to building a community of love and kindness. In support of Unicef’s “Reimagine” campaign, we want to fund projects that reimagine schools and communities that are kindness and empathy-based.

The interactive modules on Google Classroom will guide you to learn more about kindness, empathy, and inspiring change in your community.

What is in this course?

1. Watch educational videos, hosted by #StandTogether student ambassadors

Learn about “Finding Your Blind Spots” and “5 Ways to Practice Empathy” in short videos produced by R.AGE, and narrated by your peers.

2. Curated articles and illustrated posters that expand on the topic

Find out how “Kindness is Contagious” and be inspired by interviews with local youth leaders.

3. Complete graded quizzes and simple assignments

You’ll need to achieve a minimum of 80% in your graded quizzes and assignments to receive the e-certificate

4. Connect with other student leaders in the Google Classroom platform

For a full interactive learning experience, you can ask questions and interact with other students about the course on the platform and on the Kindness Leaders Facebook Group. Please keep your interactions kind and respectful, as any form of bullying is not tolerated.

5. Reflect on your learnings and apply it in daily life

At the end of each module, there will be a reflection prompt to encourage you to think about what you have learnt so far, and how it can be used to improve your relationships with others.

6. Apply for a Kindness Grant!

Once you complete the course, you’re well on your way to being an agent of change! You will be able to apply for the Kindness Grant that will let you win up to RM3,000 to execute a campaign or project in your school or community.
